Just saw My Morning Jacket for the fifth time - the best live band in America. Erkyah Badu came out to sing her song “Tyrone” with them, to raucous applause. The thing that struck me most was how much high fiving went on after the show - granted, there was a fair share of fratboys there, but I think it was mainly because everyone had been equally and thoroughly rocked, and just wanted to celebrate.

Hell, Vagrant even spun off two new labels, one for kids and one for heavier music. They’re focusing on what they know and segmenting their marketing efforts by affinity group.”
